SAM IO Needles colors and depth indicators adhere to industry standards for ease of adoption, and the devices are designed as a stylet and catheter assembly secured by a snap-fit connection.The 15-gauge SAM IO Needles are available in 15mm, 25mm and 45mm lengths to accommodate multiple application sites and a broad range of patient demographics.  

The colours and depth indicators adhere to industry standards for ease of adoption and the stylet and catheter are connected through a simple snap-fit design. Optimised cutting flutes at needle tips have been optimised to penetrate cortical bone efficiently. Laser markings on needles confirms proper needle length and provides depth control. 

Each sterile-packed SAM IO Needle includes:

• An Extension Tube to aid in fluid introduction 
• A NeedleVISE® for sharps containment.

Available in single units and packs of five. Driver, Stabilizer, and Adaptor options are sold separately. Refer to Specifications for Nato Stocking Numbers.

• 15mm Needle indicated for patients weighing  3 - 39kg* with non-existent to limited overlying adipose tissue
• 25mm Needle indicated for patients weighing 3kg or over* with minimal to moderate overlying adipose tissue
• 45mm Needle indicated for patients weighing 40kg or over* with moderate to excessive overlying adipose tissue
